West Ham United have been offered another candidate to replace David Moyes this summer from the same intermediaries who set up talks with Ruben Amorim.
Following last weekend’s 5-2 loss against Crystal Palace, it perhaps feels increasingly likely that David Moyes may depart once the season concludes.
The West Ham manager is out of contract after June, and that perhaps presents an opportunity for a fresh start.
In the eyes of many, Moyes has done an excellent job on the whole in east London, delivering a treasured European trophy.
But a lot of fans are now itching for something new, they want the handbrake taken off so to speak.
That being said, TBR Football understands that the same intermediaries who brokered talks with Ruben Amorim recently, have now also put forward former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Julen Lopetegui.
West Ham are assessing their options and TBR can confirm that Fulham’s Marco Silva, Wolves’ Gary O’Neil, Lille’s Paulo Fonseca and Feyenoord’s Arne Slot are all admired at the London Stadium.
Julen Lopetegui is yet to take another job since leaving Wolves at the end of the summer, perhaps waiting for the right opportunity.
Of course, it’s interesting that his replacement, Gary O’Neil, is also on the list given the excellent recovery job he’s done.
Marco Silva is a name that has already been linked with West Ham in the past, and he has continued to do a stellar job at Fulham.
Although TBR understands that Marco Silva’s release clause, that is around £15m, is a major sticking point for David Sullivan.
Either way, West Ham fans would probably be excited by any of the names on the list above.
Both Paulo Fonesca and Arne Slot enjoy growing reputations in Europe, with the latter now linked with the Liverpool job too.
All that being said, West Ham could still view Ruben Amorim as their favourite in an ever-changing situation.
And with that in mind, it has now been revealed why Ruben Amorim would prefer a move to West Ham over Liverpool this summer.
