Tottenham Hotspur fans have all been left saying the same thing about Harry Kane following Bayern Munich’s defeat to Real Madrid.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were sent crashing out of the Champions League on Wednesday night in stunning fashion.

Real Madrid did what Real Madrid do best in the Champions League and they drew victory from the dying minutes of a game which looked set to be won by Bayern.

Harry Kane‘s final hope of getting his hands on his first piece of silverware were left in tatters after those two late goals from Joselu.

The former Tottenham man was forced to watch Carlo Ancelotti’s men turn the game around from the bench after being withdrawn for the final minutes.

But the on-watching Spurs fans were all left saying the same thing about the England captain’s performance at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It was a desperately unlucky night for the Spurs record goalscorer having seen his shot in the final taken away from him in the final minutes.

Having played 85 minutes of the game in the Spanish capital, Kane was taken off by Tuchel and was forced to watch his side come undone from the bench.

Kane’s disappointment was there for all to see with the striker looking despondent after his side’s season essentially came crashing to an end.

Although the striker was unable to get on the scoresheet to boost Bayern’s hopes of reaching the final, he did provide a stunning assist for Alphonso Davies’ goal.

And it was a pass which several Spurs fans waxed lyrical about on X, with one of them saying, ‘That was special from Kane and Davies’. And another even added, ‘Reminds me of Kane and son connection’.

One fan was seriously impressed with the long-range pass, saying, ‘Got the assist on the Davies goal, Kane quality pass Davies smashed it in’. Whilst another Spurs fan said, ‘Thinking about Kane’s assist’.

It was not to be for Bayern on the night, but one Spurs fan drew on comparisons with Kane and another prolific striker, saying, ‘Kane has an assist today I don’t know why I’m even entertaining Erling talk, we’ve gone levels clear’.

After watching Kane ping the sensational pass to Davies, another fan simply said, ‘What an assist by Harry Kane!’

Although Tuchel has since come out and claimed the substitution was made due to a back issue Kane was carrying, it will still go down as one of the most bizarre decisions of the season.

The England captain did not look in too much discomfort when he raced out of the dugout to protest against a late call that went against Bayern.

And it is apparent pundits across the game were left perplexed with Tuchel’s decision to take off Kane with just minutes to go.

“That’s one of the biggest calls [I’ve seen]. I love Thomas Tuchel. I don’t know why they made that call. Kim came on ten minutes before that and they were quite comfy,” Owen Hargreaves said on TNT Sports.

“They went from a back four to a back three. Bayern had it in their hands and they let it go. The mistake from Neuer obviously but everybody’s going to be talking about the subs, you cannot take Harry Kane off.”
