UCL: Ancelotti reveals what Guardiola did to Real Madrid players after defeat

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed that his Manchester City counterpart, Pep Guardiola came into the dressing room to congratulate them following their Champions League quarter-final defeat on Wednesday.

The LaLiga champions needed a penalty shoot-out to eliminate City, after the tie ended 1-1 (4-4 on aggregate) at the Etihad.

Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic missed for Guardiola’s men, while Luka Modric missed for Real.

However, it is Los Blancos who progressed to play Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the competition.

“This is about the only way you can come to City and win.

“You work, sacrifice and win however you can.

“Pep Guardiola is a gentleman, always has been. He congratulated us, wished us good luck and that’s what a real gent does,” Ancelotti told Movistar.
