Manchester United loanee Facundo Pellistri sends a message to Real Madrid superstars Joselu and Fedi Valverde as they embark on to the Champions League final.

Real Madrid, much like the Manchester United of old, just have that ‘it’ factor. Whenever they look down and out, they come fighting and get straight back up. That’s exactly what happened in the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night.

A place at Wembley against Borussia Dortmund was at stake, with both sides desperate to book a place there. It was Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich for so long who was looking the most likely for so long, having gone ahead in the tie thanks to an Alphonso Davies rocket.

That was until a former Stoke City man of all players popped up. In the 81st minute, Joselu entered the frame, and little did he know he was about to create Champions League history.

He scored two in quick succession to send Madrid through and break Bayern’s hearts at the Bernabeu. Manchester United loanee Facundo Pellistri congratulated him on this.

Pellistri played with the Spanish forward during his time at Alaves in La Liga. He was delighted for his former teammate, taking to Instagram to post the following message (in loosely translated English). ‘More than deserved friend!! Congratulations for this crazy crack.’

Not long after, he also went to congratulate his international teammate Fedi Valverde, who also stars for Uruguay alongside the 22-year-old. He wrote: ‘And you too brother! what a player!! we go and we go.’

Real Madrid now advance to Wembley, where they face a familiar face around Old Trafford.
