John Terry has described one Manchester City player as being an animal in terms of how he plays.

Having played 492 Premier League game throughout his playing career, the former Chelsea defender came up against his fair share of top players.

Now though, the 43-year-old has spoken about one of the Premier League’s current stars, using just one word to sum him up.

In a recent video shared on the Premier League’s official TikTok channel, Terry and several other former top-flight players were asked to describe a handful of current Premier League figures in one word.

When asked to describe Erling Haaland in just one word, Terry went for ‘animal’ as his label for the City striker.

Back in the 2022 summer transfer window, City paid £51m to sign the Norwegian from Borussia Dortmund, where he scored 86 goals in 89 appearances across all competitions.

During his Treble-winning debut season at the Etihad Stadium, the 23-year-old scored 52 goals in 53 appearances, breaking numerous records along the way.

In fact, only Harry Kane (54) registered more shots on target in the league last season than him (53).

Erling Haaland is Man City’s goalscoring star

This term has seen Haaland find the back of the net 31 times in 37 appearances across the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

This isn’t the first time Haaland has been described as an animal, as former City striker Edin Dzeko said the same thing about him back in August when discussing how much of goal-hungry striker the Norway international is.

With it being so clear how much of a top goalscorer Haaland is, it’s no surprise to us that Terry has likened him to an animal in terms of how he goes about getting these goals.

Moving forward, if the striker can add even more goals to his tally for the season, he could push his side to winning another league title and FA Cup.
