Josko Gvardiol has revealed that two of his Manchester City teammates are “absolute machines.”

Gvardiol was surrounded by quality at RB Leipzig, which are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga.

For Croatia as well, the 22-year-old has had the opportunity to learn from top players like Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Ivan Rakitic.

However, since coming to Manchester City, the youngster must have witnessed a level of quality, both technically and physically that he might have never seen in his career.

For instance, in November, Josko Gvardiol expressed how he finds it surprising that Erling Haaland can seem like an anonymous figure in a game before he manages to score a hat-trick out of nowhere.

The Croatian international also described the way Rodri moves on the pitch and his ability on the ball as “incredible.”

Gvardiol has also previously mentioned that he has been surprised by just how remarkable Ederson is with the ball at his feet.

Josko Gvardiol says two Man City players are “machines”

Only City have the privilege of having players of the ilk of Haaland, Rodri and Ederson within their ranks.

As a result, not just the £77.6 million man but any young player who signs for Manchester City will be taken aback by the complete package they bring to the table.

Especially considering how Gvardiol must see how simply some of his teammates seem to find it to be outstanding at all times at the highest level.

The highly-rated centre-back has impressed this season but like most new signings who play their first campaigns in England, he has had a few hiccups; which he seems to have got rid of out of his game.

The Bundesliga is a quality division.

But it is incomparable to the Premier League in many ways.

Gvardiol was asked if the level of physicality was the biggest difference.

Josko Gvardiol agreed while saying that the likes of John Stones and Kyle Walker have experience on their side, which is why they have turned to brick walls in terms of their physical stature.

“It is actually. If you want me to compare the Premier League and Bundesliga now because I only have experience there, the Premier League and Bundesliga, the difference is really…a lot of difference.”

“The thing is I’m still young, I’m 22 and of course, there is a lot of space to build myself and progress. If you have a look at John [Stones] or Kyle [Walker], they are machines”, he told the club’s in-house media.

Can’t disagree with Gvardiol about Stones and Walker

Perhaps some might argue that Kyle Walker was always physically gifted but as for John Stones, he was not, in our view, which is why Josko Gvardiol raises a valid point.

During his early days at City and his time at Everton, Stones would sometimes get bullied in duels and it felt like he needed to bulk up to become the world-class centre-back he is today.

However, that process took time.

Stones also started Premier League football at quite a young age.

With time, Josko Gvardiol is also expected to become as strong as John Stones has become and perhaps Kyle Walker has always been.

As Gvardiol puts the required amount of work into his gym work and grows into his body, players will bounce off him in duels.

One would argue that the broadly built Josko Gvardiol is more similar to Kyle Walker in his stature than John Stones, which already makes him quite an imposing presence at the back.
