Manchester City’s run-in schedule has just got somewhat less hectic after their elimination from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage by Real Madrid.

The penalty shoot-out defeat ends the club’s dream of another Treble but the Blues can still win the domestic double. City can take a big step towards their two trophy defences with a win in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea.

Then comes the away Premier League clash with Brighton on Thursday, April 25 with the club currently top of the table by two points. City’s progress to the Champions League semi-final would have potentially caused a fixture migraine with the clash versus Brighton and the proceeding fixture against Nottingham Forest needing to be pushed back a day.

The Forest clash will now stay scheduled for Sunday, April 28. Afterwards is a home league clash with Wolves on May 4. The final three Premier League games will be played in the final week of the season.

First up on Saturday, May 11 is Fulham away before an ominous midweek trip to Tottenham on Tuesday, May 14. City have not won a league game away at Spurs since April 2021, albeit did triumph there in the FA Cup third round clash in January.

The final day of the Premier League season on May 19 sees City host West Ham on home soil. It means that City will play seven games, instead of nine, in four weeks. The FA Cup final is staged on Saturday, May 25 at Wembley.
