Manchester United U18’s side ended the league campaign with a win at Carrington on Saturday afternoon over Everton.

Having already won the league, quite a while ago now, this weekend’s season finale against Everton was nothing more than a formality.

But not to let standards drop prior to the upcoming North against South final against what looks to be Chelsea, Manchester United beat Everton 3-1.

Gabriele Biancheri scored twice, while Malachi Sharpe scored the third United goal late in the second half.

The win sees Adam Lawrence’s team finish the 24-game season with 20 wins, two draws and two losses and also a goal difference of +50.

The 17-year-old Welsh wonderkid continued his lightning-fire end to the season in which he’s been racking up the goals.

His brace against Everton means he’s scored eight in his last six games across various academy levels, and also his third goal in just 24 hours.

He was a second-half substitute on Friday night against Arsenal during a 6-2 loss in the Premier League 2 playoffs.

As this season has progressed, Biancheri has developed extremely well and his movement in front of goal is particularly impressive as Erik ten Hag has even drafted him into first-team training.

Having only joined the club from Cardiff in 2023, Biancheri had taken a little time to settle but now looks a top prospect for United and he’s showing signs of living up to his Sergio Aguero comparison.

Jason Wilcox was watching Manchester United U18s in action

On the sidelines for the 3-1 win was new technical director Jason Wilcox, along with Darren Fletcher.

Wilcox has been known to take a keen interest in the youth at his previous clubs and that seems to be the case at United too.

Biancheri will undoubtedly have caught his eye in the game, with the Welsh teenager the standout performer which could sway Wilcox away from wanting a young striker this summer.

This is as he will know he has both Biancheri and Ethan Wheatley just waiting for a chance.
