Edu Gaspar has praised one Arsenal player on social media after yesterday’s performance against AFC Bournemouth.

The north London side were a class above the Cherries yesterday at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal blew Bournemouth away with a 3-0 win inspired by a Declan Rice masterclass in midfield.

Winning praise from Joe Cole and Ian Wright, it was one of Rice’s best performances to date in an Arsenal shirt as Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka were also on the scoresheet for the Gunners against Bournemouth.

Yet Edu was impressed with another player on Saturday for Arsenal.

Edu praises Kai Havertz after Arsenal win vs Bournemouth

Taking to Instagram, the Arsenal sporting director sent a message to Kai Havertz after the 24-year-old attacking midfielder’s performance, with the German international winning a penalty against the Cherries.

Whilst Wright did not believe Arsenal should have been awarded a penalty, Havertz’s performance was still an impressive one, with the former Chelsea star leading the line once again and causing Bournemouth plenty of problems.

Lauded as ‘majestic’ last week by Adrian Clarke, Havertz has taken the striker role for himself since the turn of the year, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah unable to claim the position back as the German continues to impress.

And Saturday’s showing again proved why Havertz could be the one to lead the line for Arsenal next season, with the German providing everything needed for the Gunners to flourish in the attack.

Havertz will make it hard for Arsenal to sign a world-class striker

Transfer talk heading into this summer has solely focused on Arsenal looking at a world-class striker, with Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak two players who have been linked with moves in recent weeks.

Yet Havertz is making it hard for Arsenal to splash such a high figure on a top centre-forward with his recent performances, with the German bagging eight goals in the Premier League since the move in February.

Whilst a striker with that killer instinct could be worth it for Arsenal, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Havertz was to take the role for himself next season, with recent performances becoming too good to ignore.
