Next month's Champions Cup final faces being relegated to ITV4 amid a kick-off clash with the FA Cup final.
The kick-off time for the clash between Manchester City and Manchester United on 25 May has been confirmed as 3pm.
That will clash with the final of European rugby's showpiece, which is set to start at 2.45pm at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Not only does the Champions Cup final risk being overshadowed that day, but it seems inevitable it will lose its spot on the terrestrial TV listings - with ITV holding the rights to both the FA Cup and Champions Cup.
With the football certain to take precedent, the rugby will likely be broadcast on one of ITV's other channels - with ITV4 the obvious option. Naturally, that will have an impact on the viewing figures for the biggest club game in northern hemisphere rugby.

Moving either kick-off to avoid the clash seems unlikely. The FA Cup final's kick-off time of 3pm follows the precedent set last year when the two Manchester clubs met at Wembley.
Since 2012, the FA Cup final has kicked off at 5.15pm in order to generate a bigger evening audience, but for the second year running, concerns by the Metropolitan Police over the risk of crowd trouble will see the more traditional afternoon kick-off favoured.
As for the Champions Cup kick-off time, it's understood that European Rugby Cup Ltd won't change either. Their start time was chosen to fit between French coverage of the Cannes Film Festival and football's French Cup final between PSG and Lyon.
Another potential issue for the clash would be the fact that the two finals are both staged in London, although the Met have not raised any concern on that front yet.
