Taunton Town FC appoint Martyn Starnes as new consultant

TAUNTON Town Football Club have brought in a new consultant to the board to help support the club off the pitch.

Martyn Starnes has been appointed to assist the board on a consultancy basis.

Previously, Starnes has been chief executive with Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Yeovil Town and Swindon Town.

He is a qualified accountant and is the current CEO and director of Centre Forward Limited, which is a company that acts as an investor and consultant to professional sports clubs.

A spokesperson from the club said: "The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Martyn Starnes who will be assisting the club’s Board on a consultancy basis.

"Martyn has been involved with football all his life, with his positions having included Chief Executive roles for Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Yeovil Town and Swindon Town.

"As well as being a qualified accountant, Martyn’s expertise will be invaluable in supporting Karl Lindsay and the Board as we come to the end of the current season and prepare for next."
