Chelsea's players would reportedly not support Todd Boehly sacking Mauricio Pochettino despite the 5-0 thumping against Arsenal on Tuesday evening.

Pochettino has been under pressure for nearly the entirety of this season as the Blues struggled in the Premier League. Chelsea managed to reach the final of the Carabao Cup and the semi-finals of the FA Cup but qualification for the Champions League is now out of the window.

The Blues received a major blow to their hopes of qualifying for Europe in the defeat to the Gunners which led to yet more pressure being piled on the Argentinian head coach. However, it appears he does have the support of the dressing room.

The Daily Mail claims the Chelsea squad would be severely unhappy if Boehly chose to sack the manager this summer having become attached to their head coach. It is believed Chelsea shall be conducting a review of Pochettino's position at the end of the season and discontent has been growing among the fanbase.

After the defeat to Arsenal, Pochettino said: "I cannot blame the players. There are too many details and circumstances for why this happened."

While the Chelsea players want Pochettino to stay, former defender William Gallas is adamant the boss must leave. He told Lord Ping before the defeat to the Gunners: "Pochettino has failed in his first season as Chelsea manager.

"There is no other conclusion that can be drawn. At the moment, he hasn’t won any trophies, and it is almost impossible for the club to qualify for European football.

"He hasn’t brought any trophies, Chelsea are ninth in the table, okay, Europe isn’t over yet, but it will be nearly impossible. At the end of the season, if he hasn’t taken the club into the Europa League, then he has failed. It is as simple as that."
