The incident occurred during Molenbeek's clash against Charleroi in the Belgian league.

The midfielder was hit in the face by a ball from point-blank range.

He remained on the ground for 10 minutes while receiving treatment from medical staff.

Commentators were heard being concerned that he may have broken some teeth from the blow.

However, Molenbeek manager Yannick Ferrera revealed that there were fears that he may have had a brain haemorrhage..

He said post-match: "Jeff was unconscious for about ten minutes. We fear a brain haemorrhage."
