Casemiro has already made his feeling clear on his future amid rumours of a switch to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

The Brazil international signed for United from Real Madrid in a £70 million switch in 2022 and helped the Red Devils win the Carabao Cup and finish fourth in the Premier League to secure Champions League football.

But he has regressed significantly and looks a shadow of his former self. Filling in at centre-back due to an injury crisis, Casemiro was destroyed by Crystal Palace in the 4-0 hammering on Monday night.

His performance was so poor that Jamie Carragher encouraged Erik ten Hag to take him off at half-time and then, in a brutal post-match assessment, told Casemiro he ought to leave top-level football for the MLS or Saudi in the summer.

He has been heavily linked with a Saudi switch before, including last summer when the country raided Europe for a slew of household names.

But Casemiro still has a minimum of two years remaining on the deal he signed with United, with the option of extending for an additional season too.

And speaking in January, he stressed that he is content at the 13-time Premier league champions.

"I’m very happy at Manchester United," he told CNN.

"As I’ve always said, the fans have always helped me. The club is always good to me.”

Manager Erik ten Hag is under immense pressure as we approach the end of the campaign, with his position still uncertain under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

With new hires and a new structure in place, they will conduct a thorough review and decide whether a change is needed.

Casemiro, however, is behind Ten Hag despite United sliding down the table.

"I'm not the person who decides who should be manager," he stated back in January.

"We have qualified people to decide that but [Ten Hag] showed last season he can grow Manchester United.

"Last season we had really good growth and the team was trending upwards. Of course, Manchester United always needs more and more and always needs to be winning but we showed last season that we are capable of achieving great things.”
