Tottenham Hotspur 'willing to accept £60m bids for 26-year-old attacker'
Tottenham 'willing to accept £60m bids for 26-year-old attacker'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to sell Richarlison for £60m this summer.

Since securing a high-profile move from fellow Premier League side Everton during the summer of 2022, the 26-year-old has netted 15 goals in 66 competitive appearances for Spurs.

Owing to a number of injury issues and lack of depth in the striking department for the Lilywhites, Richarlison has been used at the focal point of the Spurs attack on several occasions this term

Featuring 28 times in the Premier League over the course of 2023-24 so far - starting 18 of those - the attacker has scored 11 goals and provided four assists.

Richarlison also possesses major international pedigree, having netted 20 times in 48 games for Brazil as he prepares to represent his nation at this summer's Copa America.

Spurs willing to let Richarlison leave for £60m?

According to Football Insider, there could be a reshuffle in Tottenham's attacking ranks during the summer transfer window, ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

The report claims that the Lilywhites are willing to listen to suitable offers for Richarlison over the summer trading point, with a view to moving the player on.

It is understood that the 26-year-old has fallen down Ange Postecoglou's pecking order of forwards in North London since the beginning of the season.

Therefore, Spurs are said to be keen on offloading Richarlison this summer should they be able to recoup the £60m they paid for his services from Everton two years ago.

After operating this season without a recognised central striker, it is believed that Postecoglou and the Spurs hierarchy have made the acquisition of an elite forward their top priority.

An heir to the Spurs throne?

The likes of Richarlison and Son Heung-min have played more of their football centrally this season due to Harry Kane's transfer to Bayern Munich last summer.

After fitting square pegs in round holes to a degree, Spurs are in the hunt for a proper number nine during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Brentford's Ivan Toney certainly fits that description, with the Lilywhites and London rivals West Ham United said to be favourites to land to the England international.

Arsenal and Chelsea were believed to be in the race for the Bees' marksman earlier in the campaign, however there are reportedly doubts over whether the Gunners and the Blues still have a high level of interest in the forward.
