Intermediaries have now offered £52m Barcelona player to Chelsea

Chelsea could have the opportunity to sign one Barcelona youngster this summer.

Intermediaries are reportedly offering him out to other clubs amid a lack of game time this season.

Whether Chelsea bite remains to be seen, but the Blues have signed a lot of young players recently.

Last summer, for example, they spent big on the likes of Cole Palmer, who was 21 at the time, and 20-year-old Romeo Lavia.

Because Chelsea do have a very young squad, though, you have to question if they need any more youngsters.

Chelsea could have chance to land Barcelona youngster

According to TBR Football, intermediaries have reached out to Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and a few other clubs to see if they would be interested in signing Vitor Roque, who was only bought by Barcelona last year for £52m.

Roque has barely played this season, making just two starts in La Liga under Xavi.

Considering that, a move elsewhere, even if it is just a loan, would likely benefit the 19-year-old.

Again, though, Chelsea’s team is one that looks like it needs more experience and not more youth.

With Thiago Silva leaving the club at the end of the season as well, it is going to get much younger.

Chelsea should prioritise other forwards over Vitor Roque

It is hard to see how Roque, a teenager struggling for game time at Barcelona, is going to improve this Chelsea side.

And looking at where the club currently are, they should only be buying players who are going to make them better instantly. A lot of money has already been spent on individuals with potential, and that has not really worked out.

You can take Mykhailo Mudryk, for example. The winger is one of Chelsea’s most expensive ever signings, joining the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk as a 22-year-old.

However, he is yet to really deliver for them, failing to score a single goal in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
