Mohamed Salah has been tipped to leave Liverpool this summer amid interest from several Saudi Arabian outfits.

The Reds talisman has been the subject of plenty of rumours suggesting this season could be his last at Anfield, with Saudi Pro League sides lining up to try and lure Salah to the Middle East. Liverpool have already had to fend off interest in their main man before, with the club rejecting a whopping £200million offer earlier on this season.

The Egypt international has just one year left to run on his current contract and as a result, the clock is ticking on Liverpool's chances to earn a hefty fee for him. His final year would be without Jurgen Klopp in the dug-out, which has prompted former Red Jose Enrique to urge Salah to leave.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, the Spaniard said: "If the right offer comes then I think Salah will leave because I think he was actually trying to leave last summer. They were offered something like £200 million for him last summer and that was a real offer!

"When you get an offer like that, usually it means there is already an agreement between the player and the club. I think Salah had already agreed to go and I believe that he will finally go to Saudi Arabia this summer.

"Jurgen Klopp is leaving so it is the perfect time for Salah to go. There is a new cycle happening at Liverpool and lots of changes, so it is perfect for him. This will likely be the final big contract of his career, so I think he’ll leave for Saudi Arabia."

This latest saga is not the first time Salah is believed to have been close to the Anfield exit. Back in 2020, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona were keen on his signature and the rumour mill went into overdrive.

Salah himself didn't exactly help put a stop to them when he was notably non-committal in his assessment of his long-term Liverpool future. In an interview with Spanish outlet AS, the Egyptian declared: "Who knows what will happen", when quizzed on the links with La Liga sides.

Inevitably, Klopp was forced to field plenty of questions about the interview. The Liverpool boss did address it, simply stating: "I have nothing to say [about the AS interview]. All fine from my side."

Whether he feels compelled to come out and address these new Salah to Saudi links remains to be seen, but it won't be Klopp's problem by the time the summer transfer window rolls around.
