Arsenal can go four points clear of Man City if they beat Bournemouth today

Arsenal can go four points clear of Manchester City if they beat AFC Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium today.

Mikel Arteta's side are currently at the top of the Premier League, a point ahead City, however they have played an extra game compared to the the defending champions. Arsenal have responded well since exiting the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich and losing to Aston Villa in the Premier League with a convincing victory over Wolves, a 5-0 demolition job over Chelsea and a crucial 3-2 win in the North London Derby last weekend.

The Gunners are unbeaten against the Cherries in their last five meetings, winning four and drawing one back in 2019. Last time out for these two sides at the Vitality Stadium, Arteta's side cleaned up with a slick 4-0 win that saw goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White convincingly down Bournemouth.

The Cherries have enjoyed a promising season with Andoni Iraola's side impressing in the Premier League in his debut season as a manager in England. They currently lie tenth in the table and will be hopeful that they can finish above that and claim their best ever Premier League finish.

When is Arsenal vs Bournemouth?

The Gunners will take on Bournemouth at the Emirates on Saturday, May 4 with kick-off set for 12:30pm.
