Roma forward Tammy Abraham is open to moving back to England during the upcoming summer transfer window, HITC understands.

The England striker has just returned to full fitness after a knee injury which has sidelined him for much of the season.

Abraham returned in April and has now managed eight appearances since his comeback.

Abraham is now understood to be on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs ahead of the transfer window.

HITC can reveal that West Ham United are one of those keeping tabs on his situation and they recently saw him in action when he scored in the 2-2 draw with Napoli.

HITC also understands that Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and newly promoted Leicester City are also keeping tabs on the former Chelsea man.

Roma are open to the idea of Abraham leaving, which could help them finance a move for Romelu Lukaku – who they would like to keep.

Lukaku has spent the season on loan in the Eternal City and has racked up 20 goals in all competitions.

As it stands, Roma have the option to convert Lukaku’s move to Chelsea into a permanent move – that would cost them around £30m.

The Blues would also continue to help subsidise his wages until 2026, when his original contract is due to run until.

Tammy Abraham stats at Roma

Abraham left Chelsea in the summer of 2021, completing a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge as Roma coughed up £34million.

The 26-year-old headed to the Stadio Olimpico, joining forces with Jose Mourinho in the Italian capital.

Abraham racked up 27 goals in his first season with Roma, showing his best form in front of goal.

The 2022-23 season was a little trickier as Abraham finished with nine goals in 54 outings before suffering a major knee injury on the final day of the Serie A campaign.

Now back in action, the 6ft 4in striker will be keen to make up for lost time.

Abraham also scored 30 goals across his final two seasons with Chelsea before leaving for his move to Roma.

A return to the Premier League could be on the cards with multiple clubs keen and his time in Italy could come to an end after three years.
