Manchester City fans on social media are all in agreement after what they saw from Leroy Sane recently.

Last night saw Bayern Munich take on Real Madrid at home for their first-leg tie in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The Spanish side opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal from Vinicius Junior.

In the second half, Bayern got themselves back level through Sane who managed to fire the ball past Andriy Lunin after getting past Ferland Mendy.

Just four minutes later, Thomas Tuchel’s side went ahead after Harry Kane scored a penalty won by Jamal Musiala.

In the final 10 minutes of the game, the referee awarded another penalty, this time to Real, who then saw Vinicius score his second goal of the game.

With the game ending with a 2-2 scoreline, many City supporters took to social media to share their thoughts on what they saw from the Manchester club’s former winger.

These Man City fans absolutely love Leroy Sane

In 87 minutes against Carlo Ancelotti’s side, the winger had three shots at goal in total, made one pass and was able to successfully complete all four dribbles he attempted.

This display ultimately earned the 28-year-old an overall match rating of 7.3/10 from SofaScore, making him the third-highest-rated Bayern player on the night behind Kane (8.3/10) and Musiala (7.9/10).

During his time at City, who paid £37m to sign him from Schalke back in 2016 before selling him to Bayern in 2020 for £54m, Sane scored 39 goals and delivered 43 assists in 135 appearances across all competitions.

With all of that in mind, it comes as no surprise that these City fans were very impressed with what they saw from the German international last night and would love to see him back at the Etihad Stadium.
