With David Moyes quite clearly now done at West Ham United, the big question is who will come in to replace him in the summer?

West Ham manager David Moyes could have walked away from the London Stadium with his head held high last summer.

The Scot had just guided us to our first major trophy in 43 years, but he allowed his ego to get the better of him, and it’s clear to see that the Hammers boss has now outstayed his welcome.

I’m not condoning the abuse he gets at times. Nor am I suggesting that he should receive anything but a great send off during our final Premier League home game of the season against Luton Town next month.

It just feels like this season has been a real wasted opportunity to kick on. The main reason for that, in my opinion, is Moyes’s negative approach to the games and his overly defensive footballing philosophy.

It’s time that West Ham made a big upgrade on the Scot. And it seems like Sullivan is very keen to appoint someone who is renowned for implementing a really attractive playing style…

The Scot has taken us to another level over the past four years or so.

Now it’s someone else’s turn to oversee the next stage of progress for the Hammers.

Numerous names are being linked with the London Stadium hot-seat, but it seems like one man in particular is attracting attention from the West Ham owners…

According to a report from Lazio News 24, the Hammers are pushing hard to convince Maurizio Sarri to take over at the London Stadium this summer.

It was claimed earlier this week that the 65-year-old former Chelsea boss is open to joining West Ham, and has already decided on two players he wants to bring to the club if he takes over – Alessio Romagnoli and Matteo Guendouzi.

Sarri has implemented some exceptionally exciting football during his time in management, and he would undoubtedly get a tune out of the current Hammers team.

However, I still can’t see him replacing David Moyes at West Ham. I think the new manager will be one of Julien Lopetegui or Paulo Fonseca.
