Marcus Rashford did not hesitate when asked to name the best player in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old Manchester United forward, who was one of the league's standout performers last season, scoring 17 goals, appeared on The Overlap's YouTube channel to answer 30 quickfire questions.

Amongst the answers, Rashford named former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo as the player he'd want to take a last-minute penalty to save his life.

He also named Barcelona's Camp Nou as the best away stadium and named Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the best dressing room character. "He's just himself no matter where he goes," Rashford said.

But the answer that gained most traction on social media was his decision to name Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League's best player.

Speaking to Gary Neville prior to the start of the 23/24 season, Rashford said: "Best player in the Premier League right now? Last season it was definitely Haaland but I think over the last four or five years, De Bruyne 100%."

As well as touching on the ability of De Bruyne, the United academy product named Manchester City defender Kyle Walker as his toughest ever opponent.

"His physical capabilities are just unbelievable. It's always going to be a tough day [against him]," Rashford said.

"You have to try and catch him off guard or get him in the wrong positions, but even then, he can recover. It's always a difficult game against him.

"I just try and drift into places where he can't drift, or where he has to pass me on into. And when he does pass me on, I just pull back a little bit, away from the defensive midfielder or wherever it is."

As well as the above questions, Rashford was asked who of Manchester City and Liverpool he disliked most. "Liverpool. I don't like none of them but I dislike Liverpool more," he grinned.
