Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Ederson's injury 'doesn't look good' as Manchester City prepare for their final four games of the Premier League season.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was forced off at half-time during City's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday after receiving treatment for a shoulder injury. Guardiola said after the game: "It doesn't look good. We see tomorrow with the doctor."

Ederson was later seen leaving the stadium with his arm in a sling. This was the third time he has gone off injured this season.

The 29-year-old is now a doubt for City's upcoming fixtures against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham in the Premier League. His absence for those games would be a major blow for City, who are currently in a tight title race with Arsenal.

Ederson is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and his presence has been key to City's success in recent years. He has won four Premier League titles, an FA Cup and five League Cups with the club.

Guardiola will be hoping that Ederson can recover quickly from his injury, but the Spaniard may have to turn to Stefan Ortega in the meantime. City were also without Phil Foden and Ruben Dias at Forest due to illness.

Guardiola also clarified that Jeremy Doku was substituted at half-time for tactical reasons, aiming to get more influence in the middle with Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva. City now have a six-day rest before hosting Wolves on Saturday, followed by a trip to Fulham and then a crucial midweek game against Tottenham.

They finish their campaign with a final-day showdown against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium. Victory in all their remaining matches would see them overtake Arsenal for the Premier League crown.

As for the Gunners, they remain top of the table after a 3-2 victory over fierce rivals Spurs in the North London Derby.
