Arsenal have put together a superb team featuring players at different stages of their careers, all pulling their weight.

For instance, the Gunners have some amazing young talents with their whole careers ahead of them, such as Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba.

Arsenal also have stars in or around their prime, such as Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus, Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White.

You also have more experienced players such as Thomas Partey and Jorginho, who not only shine on the pitch but can also offer invaluable guidance to his teammates.

Speaking of off-the-pitch, Arsenal have done well in recent months to tie several of their key players down to new contracts.

Now, according to reports, Jorginho is also set for a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.

On Tuesday afternoon, David Ornstein broke the news on The Athletic, saying the Gunners had offered the Italian a new contract, which he is “expected to sign”.

Later on in the day, Fabrizio Romano relayed Ornstein’s news on X, also saying “talks are taking place over contract situation to continue together”.

Romano then added: “More to follow soon.”

Jorginho set to pen new Arsenal contract

Jorginho has been superb for Arsenal since joining for a mere £12million back in January 2023.

He did well in his maiden half-season at the Emirates, but has really kicked on since Declan Rice also joined the Gunners ranks.

Besides, central midfield is not a position where you can forsake experience.

Granit Xhaka was a big loss for Arsenal, and we’ve all seen what he can still do based on his incredible season with Bayer Leverkusen.

With that in mind, the Gunners don’t seem like they’re going to make the same mistake with Jorginho, and who knows, maybe with Partey too.

Great news for Jorginho, Arsenal and the fans, as he certainly deserves to extend his tenure at the club.
