Trent Alexander-Arnold has named his best mate for Liverpool and for the England national team.

As players go in the current Liverpool team, it feels strange to say that Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the most experienced in the squad.

He may only be 25-years-old, but he’s been a regular member of Jurgen Klopp’s first team squad since he was 18-years-old.

He’s played in three Champions League finals, which not many players can say they have done. He’s also been in plenty of Premier League title races as well.

So, despite his young age, it’s not really a surprise that Alexander-Arnold is the current vice captain at Liverpool.

Trent Alexander-Arnold on his best mate at Liverpool

Alexander-Arnold is a popular figure in the Liverpool squad at the moment. He’s got a very unique quality on the pitch, but his mindset off it is admirable as well.

The 25-year-old leads by example, which is exactly what you want to see. When he wore the captain’s armband at times this season, he carried Liverpool on his back.

It seems he gets on well with all of his teammates at Liverpool. Although, there is one who he seems to have a special relationship with.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ The Overlap Alexander-Arnold revealed who he is the closest to both at Liverpool and for the England national team.

“I would say club, Robbo [Andy Robertson]. International, probably Jude [Bellingham],” Alexander-Arnold said.

There are no surprises there, really. His relationship with Andy Robertson is well documented and we can see why he would get on really well with Jude Bellingham as well.

Why Trent Alexander-Arnold is in great form this season

He has missed a lot of minutes recently due to injury, so it’s easy to forget just how good Alexander-Arnold has been.

He’s been incredible and showed glimpses of his quality against Crystal Palace as well.
