Liverpool's title challenge has faded away at the final hurdle in this Premier League season. Barring a minor miracle, the Reds will likely finish third in the table yet, after the horrors of last season, this has been a tremendous campaign for Jürgen Klopp and his players.

With the German set to leave the club at the end of the season after nearly nine years, Liverpool will feel very different come the start of the 2024/25 campaign. And it's not just the coach that will change —Richard Hughes has been appointed as the club's new sporting director, and Michael Edwards is back with FSG, two years on from leaving Anfield.

Players will also come and go from Liverpool this season, as the post-Klopp era will begin in just a matter of weeks. Yet, all around Europe, there will be massive moves made, clubs switching coaches and players doing likewise. This summer looks set to be a big one in terms of coaches, with many of Europe's heavyweights all seeking new managers.

Here, Liverpool.com takes a scan around the Premier League and across the continent to see what's going on at Liverpool's rivals, including Barcelona potentially selling one of its diamonds, and Newcastle looking to Fulham for a defender.

Barcelona could sell Pedri

Barcelona midfielder Pedri was once seen as one of the club's most-valuable players, but a report states that's no longer the case. The 21-year-old broke into the Barca first team several years ago and was seen as the future of the club by most, being a La Masia youth product.

However, according to Spanish source El Nacional, this has changed. El Nacional reports that Pedri is no longer considered 'unsellable' and the club, still in a precarious financial state, would be open to listening to offers for him. Pedri opted to play for Spain at both Euro 2020 and the Olympics in the one summer, and has since been somewhat injury prone.

Barca would listen to offers in the region of $107m (£85m/€100m) for Pedri, yet considering his injury record over the past couple of years, it remains to be seen who would present such an offer.

Liverpool.com says: Pedri was once regarded as one of the brightest midfielders in Europe, but such has been his injury problems as of late he's retreated from view in the minds of fans. With Barcelona struggling financially, a deal could be done this summer, but selling a young talent like Pedri wouldn't go over well with the fan base.

It would be interesting to see whether Liverpool would be interested. The Reds have been linked with Pedri before, and recent reports from Spain suggest they are interested, although the fee may prove a little too much.

Tosin Adarabioyo 'leaning' toward Newcastle

Newcastle could eye a a free transfer for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer. Adarabioyo's contract expires this summer, and The Daily Mail is reporting that Newcastle could bring the 26-year-old to St James' Park for next season.

Adarabioyo hasn't been a regular starter for Fulham this season, but has made 20 appearances in the Premier League, and has had more of a run in the first team in the second half of the campaign. The 26-year-old's contract expires this summer, and he has been linked with Liverpool, although the Mail suggests he is leaning toward a move to Newcastle.
