Former Aston Villa man Barry Bannan aimed a dig at Birmingham City after Sheffield Wednesday beat the Championship drop.
Birmingham City are among the teams who are relegated from the Championship this season.
They join Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town in League One next season; the latter being relegated along with Blues on the final day.
It came despite a final day win for Birmingham City over Norwich City, winning 1-0.
Though Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle, and Blackburn Rovers all won, confirming Birmingham City’s relegation to League One after 13 seasons in the Championship.
And now, former Aston Villa man Bannan has aimed a sly dig at his old city rivals.
Bannan, now 34, spent time with Celtic as a youth player.
He joined Aston Villa in 2004 and went on to make 82 total appearances for the club before leaving in 2008.
Since, Bannan has made more than 400 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, having been captain of several years now.
After his Owls side beat the drop and Birmingham City were relegated, Bannan posted on X:

Bannan is one of the many first-team players out of contract at Hillsborough this summer.
But he’s been hinting at staying in S6 for at least another year, and after securing survival and putting in another strong season, he surely stays.
It’ll be down to the club to offer him a new deal now.
Though Danny Rohl will surely view Bannan’s future as a key priority after earning survival, and with the season wrapped up now, those talks can soon get underway.
There’s plenty of other players out of contract too including Josh Windass and Liam Palmer to name a couple, so there’s plenty of talks to be had.
But first expect Rohl and the players to take a well-earned break after a tough season.
Then soon enough, Sheffield Wednesday planning will get underway, with plenty for owner Dejphon Chansiri and Rohl to figure out.
