Cesc Fabregas has made a claim about Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League match against Fulham.

After beating Wolves 5-1 last weekend, the Citizens will be travelling to west London for their penultimate away match of the campaign to take on Fulham on Saturday.

Back in September, Pep Guardiola’s side beat the Cottagers 5-1 at the Etihad Stadium, with goals from Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Nathan Ake securing the points.

With the Blues still on the hunt to beat Arsenal to the Premier League title, one pundit and former Gooner has shared his thoughts about how City’s upcoming game could pan out for them.

Speaking in a recent edition of Planet Premier League, Fabregas had this to say about City’s match against Marco Silva’s side.

He said: “Fulham is a tricky one for Manchester City.

“I do agree with Nedum [Onuoha] on what he said [that Fulham will be fired up because it’s their last game of the season at Craven Cottage]. I remember always, especially in England, Spain is not seen that much, in France even, here in Italy either, to go around and clap and with the families, all your kids can come down into the grass.

“It’s like a special day, last game of the season at home. But also because they’re playing well and they have a very good team and they have good players, they had a good season, very complete season.

“They improved in many areas, they have a good coach, Fulham. I believe it’s going to be at least tricky for Manchester City to obtain the three points.”

Fulham have had some big results at Craven Cottage this season

Out of their 36 league games, Fulham have won 12, drawn eight and lost 16, scoring 51 goals and conceding 55 in the process.

As things currently stand, Silva’s side are in 13th place with 44 points on the board, one point above Crystal Palace and two points behind Wolves.

Having won nine of their 18 home games this season, the Cottagers have beaten the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion in west London.

While they may have a mixed bag of results in the league this season, it’s understandable why Fabregas may think it could be tricky for City to get a win on this occasion.
