Live and extensive coverage from Spurs vs Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the Gunners look to extend their lead over Manchester City in the title race as Ange Postecoglou plots league downfall
Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Arsenal can move five points clear of Liverpool and four ahead of Manchester City before their main title rivals travel to Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, Aston Villa dropping points to Chelsea has opened up a slither of hope that Spurs could sneak into the top four but an almighty effort is needed to topple their title-challenging rivals.
What could be better motivation for Spurs however than eliminating Arsenal’s hopes of ending their title drought? The Gunners have a near-clean bill of health and could even welcome back Jurrien Timber, whom Mikel Arteta described as ‘very close’ to selection.
While Ange Postecoglou has seen both Richarlison and Pedro Porro recover from issues prior to their two-week break. An interesting point is that the Gunners have played four games in that time and the question of freshness or sharpness will certainly come into play this afternoon.
