However, this information leaves room for manoeuvre as to whether it is closer to three or seven million euros. Given the history of FC Bayern, who once paid €25 million to Leipzig for Julian Nagelsmann, the financial hurdle seems surmountable.

However, Rangnick is not only considering a transfer fee. According to the Austrian portal oe24, Rangnick’s salary in Munich could be „at least ten times higher than at the ÖFB“. This would mean that Rangnick could earn up to 15 million euros per year if he were to move. Such a sum would make him one of the best-paid coaches in international football.
