Jurgen Klopp is at risk of missing his final ever Liverpool game should one thing happen in Monday night’s Premier League encounter with Aston Villa.

Having dropped points against Everton and West Ham United, the Reds returned to the win column with a 4-2 victory over Tottenham.

And following nine successful seasons at the club, Klopp has just two games remaining in his Liverpool career, with the penultimate one being against Unai Emery’s side at Villa Park on Monday night.

Klopp will then end his Merseyside reign on Sunday when the Reds host Wolves at Anfield on the final day of the Premier League campaign.

But the German boss is at risk of missing his Anfield farewell.

If Klopp’s booked at Villa Park, he will receive a touchline ban - meaning he will be sat in the stands against Wolves.

Klopp has been cautioned two times this season and a third yellow card would result in a touchline ban.

He picked up a yellow card at Luton Town before being shown a second yellow card against Burnley.

Liverpool's title charge ended last month as they succumbed to cross-town rivals Everton.

But the 56-year-old liked what he saw against Spurs.

"I really like the way the boys played," he said. "I liked the individual performances, how we played together - so many good things today. Yes, conceding two, ask Ali - he is really not happy about that. But it was a really good football game, and I think that's what everybody should expect from us - results as well.

"We delivered both. And the moments, how I said, I think they are a little bit explainable, should not happen anyway, but didn't count really today."

Liverpool have 78 points on the board and have qualified for next season's Champions League campaign, having played in the Europa League this term.
