Real Madrid reportedly monitoring Bundesliga defender

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on a Bundesliga center-back as they seek to bolster their defensive options in the upcoming summer transfer window.

With a potential need for two center-back signings, the Spanish giants are casting their net wide, and their search has led them to Germany.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Real Madrid are monitoring the performances of Diogo Leite, a 25-year-old currently plying his trade for Union Berlin.

Leite joined Union Berlin in the summer of 2023 from FC Porto for a fee of €7.5 million, and his impressive displays have also attracted the attention of Bayer Leverkusen.

This season, the Porto-born defender has contributed one goal in nearly 35 appearances across all competitions.
