Arsenal fans reckon they have a Ronaldo in their midst after one of their hottest prospects continued his incredible scoring spree.
Chido Obi, who doesn’t turn 17 until November, smashed in seven goals in 64 minutes as the Gunners’ under-18s romped to a 9-0 victory at Norwich City, having blasted five against West Ham a couple of weeks ago. Earlier this season, he scored 10 in a single game for the under-16s against Liverpool.
The youngster has scored a remarkable 24 goals in his last seven games, with 28 overall this season. Despite his tender years, Arsenal are already looking to ward off other clubs by tying him to a long-term deal.

Gunners fans are naturally excited by the young Dane’s potential, with some even calling for him to be jettisoned into the first-team already.
“We have a Ronaldo regen in our academy,” declared one after his latest goal-feast. Another said: “That’s massive, we need to bring this boy to the team.” A third demanded: “Lock him in the youth academy, he ain’t going nowhere.”
A fourth quipped: “This is getting ridiculous now.” Another called: “I think Obi should just be promoted to the senior team to replace Gabriel Jesus. We truly need a magnificent goalscorer of this kind in the senior team.”
A sixth pleaded: “Hand him the contract now! He’s not going nowhere.” A seventh said: “Martin Obi Is the future!” Another added: “Better than Gabriel Jesus.”
Obi has represented the country of his birth, Denmark, and England at youth level. He also remains eligible for Nigeria through his father. Denmark have said they will not pressure the youngster into committing his future to the Scandinavian nation.
Speaking last year, Kenneth Heiner-Moller, head of talent at the Danish Football Association said, per All Nigeria Soccer: “We have the approach that we will not try to convince anyone that they should play for the Danish national team. You have to want to. If you want to represent another country, that's fine.”
