Erling Haaland injury latest

Manchester City have a second Premier League away trip in four days on Sunday when they travel to face Nottingham Forest.

City swept aside Brighton with ease in a 4-0 win on Thursday, with Phil Foden grabbing a brace as Kevin De Bruyne and Julian Alvarez also scored.

It has seen Pep Guardiola’s side leapfrog Liverpool and move to within a point of leaders Arsenal while still having a game in hand.

City must win at the City Ground, a stadium they drew at last season, to reclaim top spot.

There is some promising news ahead of the game as Erling Haaland appears to be edging close to a return after missing the last two games with a knock.

Speaking after the Brighton win in his press conference, Guardiola said: “I prefer to have Erling at my disposal than to have it [a squad without him].

“I spoke with him, and he says he feels better, I don’t know.”

Here’s all you need to know about the game.

Foden once again grabbed the headlines on Thursday as he scored two more goals in his record-breaking season.

The ‘Stockport Iniesta’ saw a free-kick fortunately deflect in and then coolly swept home after Brighton were caught trying to play out from the back. He now has 24 goals in the campaign.

However, Foden has named one of his teammates as the Premier League’s best player and you can find out who by clicking below.

Stefan Ortega says one of his teammates can do anything on the field

It’s been a positive week for City following the heartbreak of their Champions League elimination to Real Madrid.

The Blues dominated in the second leg of the quarter-final but were unable to find the decisive goal and were knocked out on penalties.

Yet, they recovered to reach the FA Cup final by defeating Chelsea and maintained pace in the title race by destroying the Seagulls.

After such an uplifting victory, Stefan Ortega also moved to heap praise on one of his teammates.
