Vini Jr: When it seems Real Madrid is dead, it always comes back

Real Madrid attacker Vini Jr says reaching the Champions League semifinals should silence their critics.

Real are into the final four after a penalty shootout win at Manchester City on Wednesday.

Vini Jr told TNT Brasil: "Against City it is always very difficult, but we worked to bring Real Madrid to the top. This competition is special, the Champions League has no favourites. On the other side Bayern Munich passes, then Paris Saint-Germain passes, there is Borussia Dortmund... They are all great teams who will want to reach the final.

"I did everything to help. The coach asked me to play inside to better attack the their defense. I am improving in this, in the future I will be able to play wherever I want. I am very happy to continue building my history in this team.

"When it seems that Real Madrid is dead, it always comes back."
