Sporting CP convinced Amorim will resist Liverpool and West Ham

Ruben Amorim is set to stay with Sporting CP next season.

Yesterday, Record says the coach traveled to London to meet representatives from both West Ham and Liverpool.

But now the same newspaper says Amorim will not move to the Premier League this summer.

The reason is that he decided to stay with Sporting Lisbon.

Amorim's talks with West Ham are said not to have been particularly positive, while Liverpool's interest is no longer as strong as before.

Even if Amorim were to ultimately choose to leave Sporting this summer, a move to England is unlikely.

The 39-year-old's contract runs until the summer of 2026. He has a buyout clause which is €15m.
