Fans spotted what Harry Kane did at full-time after Bayern Munich lost to Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men reached another Champions League final after coming from behind to beat Bayern at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday night.

Former Stoke City and Newcastle United striker Joselu proved to be the difference maker after he netted twice in the closing stages to seal Madrid’s place in the final.

Next month, Los Blancos will aim to win their 15th Champions League trophy with Borussia Dortmund standing in their way.

After the match, a video of Kane’s reaction was posted on social media.

The England captain looked absolutely crestfallen after his Champions League dream went up in smoke.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Tuchel shouldn't have subbed him, I feel sorry for him.”

Another tweeted: “It’s just so sad to see, especially for a player of his calibre but try again next year.”

A third fan added: “His teammates and manager let him down! Without him they would be mid table.”

Former Manchester United and Bayern midfielder Owen Hargreaves spoke about Kane after the match.

He said on TNT Sports: “I tell you what was unexpected – Harry Kane going off the pitch. That’s one of the biggest subs I’ve ever seen in a game of football of that magnitude.

“To take off a guy who has scored 44 goals, who is the most durable player pretty much anywhere, and you bring on another striker in Choupo-Moting. Maybe he wanted height for corners, I don’t know. You cannot take him off.”

He continued: “I feel so sorry for Kane. What a superstar he has been and he doesn't have an opportunity [in a Champions League final].

“Poor guy. He has been amazing this season and that just didn't go to plan in the last 10 minutes.”

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel later revealed the reason why he took Kane off.

He said: “He couldn't keep going. He played with back pain and he couldn't keep going, his back froze up.”

Madrid will take on Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley on June 1.
