Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane reluctantly believes Manchester City will win all their remaining matches in the Premier League to retain their title this season after a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Forest, who are battling for their lives at the bottom of the division, did not make life easy for the Blues who found their breakthrough just after the half-hour mark. Josko Gvardiol managed to get himself free of his marker to fire a header into the back of the net.

City were much more like themselves after the interval and wrapped up the three points on 71 minutes as substitute Erling Haaland slotted into the back of the net one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Immediately after full-time, Sky Sports asked Keane for his initial thoughts - which were bad news for the rest of the league.

"They’ll certainly be concerned with the chances they gave up in the first half but listen, in the second half they were a lot more controlling and it’s not a bad option bringing players on like Haaland," he said. "Missing [Phil] Foden, so it’s the same old story with Man City even when they’re not at their best - they know how to win football matches.

"They’ve got good options off the bench. It’s a really good habit they’ve got from over the last few years, winning football matches.

"I think City will win every game now. I was worried with the way they started, I thought could they slip up? Forest missed chances, but a big and important win here for City today."

Pep Guardiola's side sit one point behind leaders Arsenal who have played a game more than City. Mikel Arteta's side kept the pressure on the Blues in the earlier kick-off as they Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in the North London Derby.
