VIDEO: Who needs Cristiano Ronaldo?! Sadio Mane beats three defenders to net outrageous individual Al-Nassr goal & make up for AWFUL penalty miss in CR7's absence

Sadio Mane made amends for his penalty miss by scoring an outrageous solo goal to inspire Al-Nassr to a 3-1 win in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo.

  • Al-Nassr beat Al-Feiha 3-1 at home
  • Mane starred with a brace
  • His second goal was a work of art dribbling past three defenders

WHAT HAPPENED?

Despite Al-Nassr's dominance throughout the match, it was the visitors who struck first, stunning the hosts with an early goal just six minutes into the game. Fashion Sakala, combining swiftly with strike partner Anthony Nwakaeme, capitalised on a quick throw-in to unleash a precise finish into the bottom corner, giving Al Fayha an unexpected lead and setting the stage for a gripping contest.

Undeterred by the setback, Al-Nassr pressed forward relentlessly, seeking to overturn the deficit and assert their dominance. Their persistence paid off shortly before halftime when they were awarded a penalty following a handball by Ghislain Konan. With Ronaldo sidelined due to suspension, the responsibility fell on Mane to convert the spot-kick. However, much to the dismay of the home fans, Mane's effort sailed over the crossbar, leaving Al-Nassr trailing at the break.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

As the second half unfolded, Al-Nassr intensified their attacks in search of an equaliser, with Mane spearheading their offensive efforts. The Senegalese forward showcased his predatory instincts by capitalising on a goalkeeping error and slotting home a clinical finish to give his side the lead for the first time in the evening after Abdulelah Al-Amri scored the equaliser from a corner in the 72nd minute.

With the game hanging in the balance, Mane delivered a moment of sheer brilliance that would ultimately prove decisive. Picking up the ball on the left flank, Mane embarked on a mesmerising solo run, weaving his way past three defenders with breathtaking speed and skill. Evading their desperate lunges, Mane unleashed a thunderous strike that left the goalkeeper rooted to the spot, nestling the ball into the back of the net and igniting scenes of jubilation among the Al-Nassr faithful.
