Michail Antonio has suggested West Ham can help Arsenal clinch their first Premier League trophy in 20 years this season – but only on one condition.

The Gunners are locked in a tense title race with Manchester City and Pep Guardiola’s side are very much seen as the favourites to once again land the title.

Arsenal sit top of the table and have just three top-flight fixtures remaining while City are second, just one point behind Mikel Arteta’s team with a game in hand.

The north Londoners host AFC Bournemouth in their next Premier League match before a trip to Manchester United and finishing off at home against Everton.

City, meanwhile, play Wolves at the Etihad, travel to Fulham and Tottenham with their last game seeing them face West Ham at home.

West Ham striker Antonio sees Arsenal coming out on top in the title race – but only if it goes down to the final day – because the Hammers ‘have something to play for’ and are ‘trying to get into Europe’, suggesting they can beat City.

Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Antonio said: ‘I wouldn’t call them (Arsenal) bottlejobs if they lose this title, I wouldn’t.

‘If it goes down to the last day, I reckon Arsenal wins it. Last game of the season, we have something to play for as well, we’re trying to get into Europe, Man City away.’

West Ham lost 3-1 at home to City when the sides met at the London Stadium back in September.

David Moyes’ side, who impressively won the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, currently sit eighth in the table as they chase a European spot.

When Arsenal played West Ham at the London Stadium in February they produced their joint-largest ever away league victory, winning 6-0 in east London.

‘Arsenal made West Ham surrender and I think that’s quite sad,’ Gunners legend Paul Merson said.

‘There are ways of losing football matches but that was a horrible way. I felt sorry for David Moyes. That is not his team. They let him down.’
