THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mosimane's mother Mary Khoza was the sister to former Orlando Pirates stars, Gabriel 'Tikkie' Khoza and Abram 'Mainline' Khoza.
During his active days, Mosimane turned out for play for Jomo Cosmos, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns among other notable teams.
The recent development is a blow to the club and tactician's plans in their bid to avoid relegation in the ongoing campaign.
WHAT NEXT?
Mosimane might be handed a few days off to bury his brother before rejoining the team for the remaining round of matches.
Mosimane was promised a contract extension if he managed to help Abha retain their status in the Saudi top-tier.
Currently, the team is placed 15th on the table with 25 points - a place and a point above the red zone. They are scheduled to play Al Shabab on Thursday evening.
