Speaking in a recent video shared on his official TikTok channel where he previewed and predicted the results for this weekend’s Premier League and FA Cup games, Deeney had this to say about City’s match against Chelsea.

He said: “Great game, to be fair. I think Chelsea raise their standards to whoever they’re playing.

“They need a run to show they’re moving in the right direction but they are quite young so you’re starting to see so many inexperienced guys play so the consistency is not there so one game they look great and one game they look poor.

“Against City I think they’ll put in a valiant effort but I think they’ll lose 3-1. I’ll go City 3-1.”

City have faced off against Chelsea on two occasions this season in the Premier League, drawing 4-4 at Stamford Bridge and 1-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
