'It looks bad' - Two Girona stars rushed to hospital as one player suffers broken nose in training ground head collision

Girona stars Yan Couto and Juanpe reportedly had to be rushed to hospital after the duo suffered a head collision during training.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Girona head coach Michel Sanchez stated that Couto and Juanpe were involved in a concerning incident that happened during a training session on Thursday. Following a head-on collision as they contested for the ball, the two were rushed to hospital for evaluation with Sanchez appearing concerned for the duo.

Speaking to the media, Sanchez said: "Yan Couto and Juanpe had a head-butt between them and right now they are in the hospital. It looks bad."

Girona revealed later that both players have been evaluated and released from the hospital. Girona released a statement that read: "Juanpe and Yan Couto have suffered a severe shock in a game action during today's training and have been taken to hospital, from where they have already been discharged."

WHAT NEXT FOR COUTO AND JUANPE?

As per Mundo Deportivo, Juanpe suffered a broken nose during the unfortunate collision, which means that he will miss matches against Las Palmas and Barcelona. Couto has been reported not to be as seriously injured. He suffered a cut and took a hard blow, but according to the report, he could play against Las Palmas on Saturday, April 27.
