CENTRE-BACK: Thatayaone Ditlhokwe

Prior to Thursday's game, Ditlhokwe had been absent through injury, missing 13 games for the club. After making his return, the 25-year-old might get another start, especially with Given Msimango suspended.

CENTRE-BACK: Edmilson Dove

Given Msimango has always been a first-choice centre-back at Chiefs this season. However, with his absence, the returning Dove - who also missed the Masandawana game due to a ban, is set to partner Ditlhokwe.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Siyethemba Sithebe

It seems Sithebe has won Cavin Johnson's trust in midfield explaining why he has been a starter in the most recent matches.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Yusuf Maart

When fully fit, Maart is always the favourite in the central midfield role. Johnson might opt to start him alongside Sithebe as he did against Masandawana.

Maart had to drop to a right-back role to help the defence in the loss against the Brazilians.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER: Mduduzi Shabalala

Shabalala was surprisingly dropped against the PSL champions despite his form. However, after Edson Castillo's struggles, Johnson might bring him back in the starting team.

The Congolese looked determined against Downs but could not have a proper impact owing to the team's numerical disadvantage.

LEFT-WINGER: Pule Mmodi

Mmodi was kept silent by Khuliso Mudau on Thursday before paving way for Mduduzi Shabalala against Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, he has been delivering for Chiefs this season and is set for another start.

CENTRE-FORWARD: Ashley Du Preez

The speedy Du Preez is a key attacker who can be trusted when it comes to troubling any defence with his pace.

The striker has to work on his finishing touch though.
