Feyenoord manager Arne Slot could be a good fit for Liverpool, as the Dutch club and the Reds are very similar anyway.

That’s according to analyst and former manager Wim Jonk, who has been speaking as part of a roundtable on Ziggo Sport, during which the topic of Slot potentially joining Liverpool was brought up.

The Feyenoord boss has found himself linked with the Liverpool job this week, even rocketing to the top of the bookmakers’ lists at one point, after Sporting Club de Portugal manager Ruben Amorim appeared to drop out of the running.

The Dutch coach has been earning admirers for his work at Feyenoord in recent years, winning the Eredivisie title last year and leading them to success in the cup last weekend.

He’s already been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, with Chelsea and Tottenham both speaking to him last year when they were looking for new managers.

He elected to stay where he was at that point and eventually signed a new deal with Feyenoord, although it’s been suggested he would jump at the chance to join Liverpool if it was presented to him despite that.

And Jonk believes the move is more than conceivable, as the two clubs play a similar style of football already.
