Manchester United will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. It's a crucial game for both clubs.

United crashed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday evening, marking a record-breaking 13th loss in the Premier League this season. Goals from Michael Olise (2), Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell put the Reds to the sword.

The challenge for United is to now bounce back at the first available opportunity in what is their penultimate home game of the season. However, they must get the better of an Arsenal side that is still striving for its first Premier League title in two decades.

Fortunately, United's hopes of getting a result have been boosted by the fact Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford have returned to first-team training after respective absences through injury. Martinez has been missing since the end of March, whereas Rashford has missed the last three games.

Manager Erik ten Hag will address the media on Friday lunchtime, meaning he will almost certainly provide more clarity on their respective conditions ahead of Sunday's visit of the Gunners. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be watching on keenly, with any returning players likely to improve United's performance and potentially put a serious dent in the visitors' title hopes.

Below, MEN Sport has picked out five things we spotted from Thursday's training session at Carrington.

United have desperately missed Martinez's presence in the heart of the defence this season. He has featured just 11 times in total because of three separate injury complaints. His ball-playing credentials have denied Ten Hag of a key principle, such is the way he likes United to progress the ball out from the back. The Argentine was pictured in Thursday's session, donning a huge smile and conducting ball work with the rest of his teammates.1 of 5
Rashford has not played for United since limping out of the FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry City at Wembley last month. He was forced off in the latter stages of normal time, meaning he played no part in the additional 30 minutes and then the penalty shootout. He has missed the recent clashes with Sheffield United, Burnley and Crystal Palace. He, like Martinez, was pictured smiling in training, suggesting a return could be possible this weekend.2 of 5
It is something of the norm nowadays for a United first-team training session to be flooded with youngsters. Ten Hag has been forced into bleeding more youngsters into the squad at various stages this season because of the extent of the club's injury crisis. On Thursday, the likes of Harry Amass, Louis Jackson, Habeeb Ogunneye (pictured below), Toby Collyer and Ethan Wheatley (pictured below) were all involved.3 of 5
Despite the manner of Monday night's defeat at Palace, plenty of smiles were on show throughout the session, suggesting the squad is in a relaxed mood ahead of Sunday's visit of Arsenal. Antony and Amad were pictured laughing with each other, though the details as to why that was, of course, are unknown.4 of 5
Ten Hag will, of course, provide more insight into the latest on the injury front when he hosts his pre-match press conference on Friday, but there was no sign of Bruno Fernandes in Thursday's session. He missed the defeat to Crystal Palace with a hand injury. Of course, it is important to point out that not every player who participated in the session may have been photographed, meaning it is possible Fernandes trained out of the shot of the cameras and away from the main group. However, he was not spotted in any of the images released by the club, nor was fellow midfielder Scott McTominay.5 of 5
