Dundee face a penalty of £186,000 in the event of further problems with their Dens Park pitch.
Thy admitted to five breaches of Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) rules following a series of postponements because of waterlogging.
They must pay the governing body £66,000, with a further £120,000 suspended until the end of next season.
The suspended figure will be automatically triggered in the event of a further breach next season.
A spokesman for the SPFL said: "Rules on pitch condition are an integral part of maintaining a fair league competition."
