Daniel Sturridge dubbed 'time-traveller' after spooky Real Madrid vs Bayern prediction

Daniel Sturridge's eerily correct prediction for Bayern Munich's clash against Real Madrid had fans dubbing the Liverpool cult hero a 'time-traveller'

Daniel Sturridge has turned footie oracle with his spookily spot-on prediction for the Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid clash.

The ex-Liverpool striker seemingly has a crystal ball when it comes to calling big games after his impressive, but creepy, prediction that he made before the Bundesliga side hosted the La Liga giants in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday (April 30) night.

Like any footie fan, Sturridge was glued to the telly as Harry Kane's (and Eric Dier's) Bayern squared off against Jude Bellingham's Real Madrid in the mammoth European tie, the Mirror reports.

Just one minute before kick-off, the 34-year-old hopped onto his X account (formerly Twitter) to drop his thoughts: "Sane will be a big problem tonight. Goal for him and a pen for Kane". Well if you watched the game you'd know that's exactly what happened as one fan branded him a "time-traveller" for his spot on prophecy.

Not content with just that, six minutes into the game he chipped in again with: "I'm leaning 2-2. Could be 3-2 Bayern if their bench go off. Goals galore".

Leroy Sane scored his first goal since October against Real Madrid

The match started with Bayern piling on the pressure, but then Madrid nicked the lead out of nowhere thanks to Toni Kroos setting Vinicius Jr free to slip one past Manuel Neuer. But as the second half kicked off, Sturridge's predictions started to look somewhat supernatural, with both Leroy Sane and Harry Kane hitting the back of the net within four minutes of each other.

Former Man City star and Germany international, Sane, impressively scored his first goal in 28 games past Madrid's goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, before Kane netted a penalty following a foul on Jamal Musiala.

Sturridge's prediction became even more spot-on when Kim Min-jae conceded a penalty due to a foul on Rodrygo, with Vinicius Jr stepping up to score his second goal of the game with the game ending level at 2-2.

With a draw under their belt, Madrid will hope to book a Champions League final appearance at home in the Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg.
