Fulham training hints at Arsenal Premier League title blow in Man City race

The latest Arsenal news as the Gunners will be hoping for a favour from Fulham when they take on Manchester City at Craven Cottage in Saturday's early kick-off

Fulham players warm up prior to the Premier League clash vs Brentford.
Fulham could have a big say in Arsenal and Man City's Premier League title race

Arsenal fans will be keeping a close eye on this week’s early kick-off in the Premier League, hoping that Fulham can do them a massive favour in the race for the Premier League title.

The Gunners could be overtaken at the top of the table if Manchester City beat Fulham in Saturday’s 12.30pm kick-off at Craven Cottage. As it stands, the title remains in Man City’s hands due to them having a game in hand over Arsenal, but any points dropped by Pep Guardiola’’s side would work in Arsenal’s favour.

Fans will therefore be hoping that Fulham can cause an upset, despite the Cottagers sitting comfortably in mid-table and not having anything of note to play for between now and the end of the season. It has led to some suggestions that Fulham could be ‘on the beach’ ahead of the game against Man City.

Fulham striker Raul Jimenez has shared a clip from training on social media showing the squad flying kites at the training ground as they prepare for the weekend’s clash. The clip has been shared by Fulham fans on social media with one saying: “I don’t think there’s a bigger sign of a team being on the beach when our players are flying kites in training.”

Fulham are winless in their last three league games and drew 0-0 with Brentford in their last outing. However manager Marco Silva has said that his team will give their all to get a result in front of their own fans.

"We are going to try and win the game as always,” he said. "It's clear from me, we are going to try, 100 per cent.

"We are going to play against one of the best teams in the world, if not the best in my opinion. But, as always, more so at Craven Cottage, we are a really tough team to play against and we're going to give a really tough game for City as well."
