Real Madrid take commanding lead in Champions League tie thanks to Bellingham, Vinicius, and Rodrygo

The first leg of the Champions League quarter-final clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabéu was a thrilling encounter, with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess in a 3-3 draw that sets up an enticing second leg at the Etihad.

The match was a tactical chess match in the early stages, with both sides probing for openings. However, the deadlock was broken in spectacular fashion when Real Madrid’s midfield maestro Jude Bellingham executed a sublime piece of control and linked up with Federico Valverde and Vinicius Junior to create a moment of magic.

Vinicius, with his trademark flair, delivered a perfectly weighted cross into the box, where Rodrygo, with a second effort, slotted the ball past the helpless Manchester City goalkeeper to put Real Madrid ahead.
